We hosted 14 women and our inspiring guest speaker, Tatiana Chamorro, at last month's dinner. For this October, we focused on the theme "drive." The Shop Club provided the perfect venue (driven women discussing drive in front of luxury cars? Too good).
Bond girl visuals. Red roses on the table. Cigars as party favors. Everyone received a custom hot wheel car (thank you HandmadeDreams621). We had a wonderful debate discussing whether drive, ambition, and motivation are all synonymous, and we're immensely grateful for the Club Amie members willing to entertain this conversation. We concluded that motivation is perhaps a macro performance function, while ambition is more micro (and therefore intrinsic). |

Formula One: Circuit of the Americas |

Our first Club Amie trip was a 3-day excursion down to Austin, Texas for the Formula One Circuit of the Americas Grand Prix. One of our cornerstones is to involve women in more traditionally masculine spaces. Only 0.26% of all Formula One drivers have been female, with increasingly fewer eligible female drivers being considered for sponsorship. We are therefore immensely grateful to Red Bull for inviting us down to COTA, keeping us caffeinated, and including us at the Red Bull Racing Victory Party.
Based on the success from our trip to Austin, we are actively planning our next adventure. Ladies, pack your bags, we're headed to Art Basel. |
